Pay: $1,800 to $1,900 per week
Shift Information: Days – 3 days x 12 hours
Start Date: ASAP
Location – 710 Center St, Columbus, Georgia 31901, United States
Duration – 14 Weeks (06/22/2026 onward)
Shift – Day Shift, 3×12-Hour (06:30 AM – 07:00 PM)
Rotation – Every other weekend (5 weekend days out of a 6-week schedule)
Float – Yes (within facility and to Piedmont Columbus Northside as needed)
Call Requirement – No
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) responsible for providing respiratory care services across adult critical care, emergency department, pediatric critical care, and NICU patient populations. The therapist will manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation, aerosol therapy, oxygen management, arterial blood gas analysis, patient education, pulmonary hygiene, and respiratory emergency support. This position is based at a Level II Trauma Center, Interventional Stroke Center, and Level III NICU. The RRT will primarily work with adult patients but must also be comfortable caring for pediatric intubated patients. The role requires strong critical care experience, trauma experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Mandatory Skills / Experience
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience required
• Trauma experience required
• Experience in Adult Critical Care required
• Experience in Emergency Department settings required
• Experience with Pediatric Critical Care required
• Experience managing BiPAP and CPAP required
• Experience weaning patients from mechanical ventilation required
• Experience troubleshooting ventilator alarms required
• Experience performing arterial blood gases (ABGs) required
• Experience with oxygen therapy and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) required
• Experience with aerosol therapy and nebulizer treatments required
• Experience with tracheostomy care and airway management required
• Experience with patient education and pulmonary hygiene required
• Ability to work with pediatric intubated patients required
• Floating to sister campus as needed
Preferred Skills / Experience
• Epic charting experience
• Trauma Level II experience
• Pulmonary Function Testing (Spirometry)
• Experience with Viasys Vela ventilators
• Experience with GE Carescape monitors
• Experience with Viasys Avea ventilators
• NRP Certification
Certifications
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) Certification required
• Georgia State License required
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred
