Position Summary: The Purchasing Assistant provides support to the Purchasing Administrator in managing the purchasing needs of the organization. Support responsibilities include assisting in the procurement of ingredients, communication with suppliers, and managing corresponding documentation.
Job Responsibilities: Purchase order entry review and update purchase order confirmations. Work with suppliers to expedite orders if needed. Also collecting and distributing key KPI's related to supplier performance. Resolve shipment errors with supplier's.Must be proficient in Word/Excel. Prior Food Industry Experience is a plus. Must be self starter and work independently. Must have good oral and written communication skills. Good organizational skillsPhysical Demands: This position consists of office, warehouse, and manufacturing settings.
