Job Description
Enthusiastically support and contribute to World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Program and tools. Manufacturing Process Design Creation for BIW and General Assembly. Develop Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEAs) with cross functional teams. Write detailed process instructions. Manage root cause analysis. Interface with Product Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering and Plant personnel to ensure product design feasibility for manufacturing and report out findings and implement improvements. Based on specifications, determine which manufacturing operations will be performed and in what sequence. Actively participate in employee suggestion program Innovation by Suggestion. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3 to 5 years’ experience. Effective English and Spanish verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with a variety of people at all levels within the organization. Catia V. Team Center / NX preferred. Microsoft Office and a large Tech company Suite. TIF Files. Body and White and General Assembly manufacturing process or Body in White process documents creation or Body Process Designer. Process plant layouts to body tools, incorporating weld fixtures, gun hanging sheets or 3D modeling of weld guns to check gun clearances. Design skills in body tools or checking fixtures or welding fixtures. Welding guns, welding point files. Body sealers application, tool follow-up in build shops AMPS (Automated Manufacturing Planning System). Engineering Build of Material (EBOM) preferred. Key Process Tracking preferred. Process and Design Tool experience preferred. Virtual Product Management (VPM) preferred. CNs (Product Change Notes) preferred.
