Job Summary

Work as part of a two-person team, assisting the Drill Rig Foreman (Driller) to perform geotechnical drilling tasks in the field. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform soil boring & sampling
  • Load appropriate tooling and supplies onto vehicles for designated projects, transport equipment to and from job sites
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner at all times with knowledge of appropriate safety procedures
  • Prepare boring logs and necessary documentation of work activities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on drill rigs, tooling and support equipment
  • Frequently lift, adjust, move & carry, equipment & materials that weigh between 50-150 lbs.
  • Required to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, bend or crawl regularly

Qualifications and Skills

  • Valid driver's license, available for overnight travel which may vary from week to week
  • Must complete OSHA 10 Hour Safety Course within first month of employment
  • Working experience with hand-held electronic devices relating to text messages and emails
  • Experience with Welding/Fabrication and/or Hydraulics is ideal but not necessary
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions that vary between wet, dry, hot, cold, and snowy extremes
  • Basic knowledge of repair skills and welding is helpful
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 150 lbs.
