Tidal Construction Group LLC ("Tidal"), a fast-growing boutique commercial construction company, is seeking a Superintendent to contribute and support the planning and execution of commercial construction projects. This role spends most of the time on job sites managing and overseeing all facets of a construction project from start to finish. On the east coast, Tidal operates from West Palm Beach south to Miami and on the west coast of Florida in Tampa.This role requires full-time support to monitor, oversee, and manage the progress and budget of a project, following up with stakeholders, contractors and vendors on the completion or delay of projects phases, scheduling meetings and maintaining projects documents.The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of our services are being delivered at the highest level to ensure that the Owner/Client is satisfied.OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY: Performance of non-manual work directly related to the management or general business operations of Tidal and/or its clients. Entrusted to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to multiple facets of Tidal's business, such as securing and hiring subcontractors, overseeing their work, overseeing change orders, and other areas as explained in greater detail below. Abide by all policies and procedures of Tidal. Preconstruction/Project Startup:Conducts siteinvestigations, reviews design documents, identifies and helps secure keysubcontractors. Developsbid/budget packages, develops schedules, develops site utilization plan. Attends Pre-Construction meetings with stakeholders and reviews permitted construction documents. Identifyingproject requirements and Owner Contract requirements. Conductpreconstruction meetings with all subcontractors. Developsscope of work and purchasing schedule. ConstructionReview project documents andverify their accuracy.Readspecifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirementsor to plan procedures.Coordinateand oversee subcontractors work schedules and overall project plans.Providetechnical direction and manage productivity.Managequality and construction costs for multiple projects.Makekey decisions associated with scheduling, safety and budgets.Maintainall on-site documentation including contract documents and daily logs.Overseethe change order process to ensure the extras presented to the owner getapproved.Sets up project schedule of values,approves miscellaneous job expenditures, prepares monthly ownerrequisitions, processes monthly requisitions. Meet job budgets & strictconstruction schedules to ensure deadlines are met. Ensurethat jobs are completed according to schedule and meet profit goals.Mustbe capable of lifting heavy objects 60-80 lbs. by hand or with equipment.Employee to use proper equipment available or asks for help from a teammember. *Other than occasional assistance based on the circumstance, no manual labor is expected for this position. Scheduling and Project Administration:Knowledge of constructionsequencing and ability to create a 2-week look ahead schedules. Complieswith contract requirements, coordinates with corporate scheduling. Preparesand distributes detailed Project Schedules. Administersdocument control, administers RFI process, administers critical items list.Preparescorrespondence, maintains filing system. Field Operations:Manage theplanning and coordination of onsite subcontractor's work activities for aproject according to contract and guidelines, coordinates Subcontractorsand Vendors, coordinates permit inspections, maintains subcontractorrelationships. Be onsite to monitor subcontractor personnel to ensureadherence with project plans and adherence to quality control of allinstallations.Manage and advise on quality and productivity issueswhile monitoring work performance with productivity of subcontractors toensure project plans and schedule are followed to ensure project isexecuted effectively within budget and on time.Submit "Daily & Weekly Status Update" to seniormanagement. ManagesShop Drawing process, manages material expediting process, manages dailycleanup, performs daily jobsite walk, coordinates specialty inspections,and manages start-up and commissioning of equipment. Ensureonsite code compliance and coordinate quality inspections. Maintaina safe, secure, and healthy work environment in a professional manner. Complywith legal regulations and procedures. Assistsin the preparation of Change Proposals to Owners and ensures adequatecoverage for all direct costs, equipment, and time-related workactivities.Compilestime and material expenditures for Change Orders. Requirements Minimum of (3-5) years of superintendent or project management experience in commercial construction. Completion of all Safety Trainings and Requirements, including OSHA 30 training. Have led and managed multiple construction projects.Be able to read, understand and interpret plans & specifications as well as help develop and maintain schedules in order to deliver a complete project on time. Excellent organizational, communication and computer skills including Microsoft suites.
