Requisition ID: 147581 Job Level: Senior Level Home District/Group: Kiewit OGC Engineering Department: Environmental Market: OGC Employment Type: Full Time Position Overview Your opportunity to join a rapidly growing environmental consulting team embedded in Kiewit's Engineering Group. As an Air Quality Project Lead you will be the primary lead for all air quality consulting work across our OGC and Industrial Markets. Your role will be instrumental in establishing a growing services group. In addition to leading projects you will develop internal procedures, support technical competency development and drive Kiewit's efforts to be a full-service solution for our clients. Your work will be highly varied including support for construction projects, EPC, engineering reviews as well as permitting and noise work scopes. The successful candidate will lead efforts across multiple regional areas of the US and Canada as well as work across industries including renewables, chemicals, and LNG. This position will lead projects with work scopes beyond air permitting and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate technical competency in developing emissions inventories and permit applications in addition to the ability to manage scope, budget and schedule of non-air permitting scopes including noise and wetland permitting. Location This position is based out of our Energy Corridor Office in Houston, TX and typically requires less than 25 percent travel. Responsibilities * Lead environmental work scopes within the greater engineering and construction focused project and client teams * Develop technical competency within Kiewit's Engineering Environmental Team * Interface with process and mechanical engineering team leads to develop emissions inventories in support of air permit applications * Coordinate with the District Environmental Manager to ensure work is completed to client expectations * Support FERC Resource Report Development as requested by clients * Develop and deliver internal processes and template documents for Air Quality Service * Interface with clients to develop work scopes, communicate project progress and address questions/concerns as they arise. * Responsible for keeping up to date with new and proposed air permitting requirements, emission estimating methods, and regulations. * Project management responsibilities may include: developing proposals; managing projects and budgets; coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and internal project staff; performing and overseeing project technical work. * Additional responsibilities may include coordinating, conducting, and/or leading field work. * 25% travel anticipated to support field operations as well as client interface Qualifications * Preferred: 5+ years of air permitting experience * Preferred: Regional experience in California and Louisiana with both major and minor source permitting * Client interfacing experience - must be able to communicate and work well with project clients * Experience leading multi-faceted environmental work scopes including ecological permitting and/or noise monitoring and modeling * Air dispersion modeling experience a plus, but not necessary. * Ability to lead and perform occasional field work is required. * This position requires an individual capable of and experienced with applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to a variety broad areas of air quality consulting assignments. * Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered. * A Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, environmental studies, or another related field is required. #LI-TD28 We offer our fulltime staff employees a comprehensive benefits package that's among the best in our industry, including top-tier medical, dental and vision plans covering eligible employees and dependents, voluntary wellness and employee assistance programs, life insurance, disability, retirement plans with matching, and generous paid time off.
