Job Summary/Description:

WCTV has a rare opening for a weekday morning anchor. The Good Morning Show is a well-established and award-winning newscast, with a loyal following across our DMA. This is a unique opportunity to join-and grow with- the region's dominant morning news team. The ideal fit is comfortable commanding the anchor desk, cross-talking with talent, and coaching newer team members.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

- Anchor weekday morning newscasts (5am, 6am and 7am) and weekday noon newscasts
- Work closely with co-anchor and producers to ensure story selection and quality of broadcast are clean, compelling and consistent
- Demonstrate ability to connect with viewers and community both on and off the desk
- Generate story/segment ideas for the morning team and build local contacts

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Degree in journalism or related field
- Minimum three years' experience reporting in a commercial newsroom
- Non-linear editing experience
- A valid driver's license, good driving record and proof of insurability
