The primary purpose of the Ordering/Receiving Clerk position is to inventory and order food items on a daily basis. Ensures that all refrigerated orders are promptly placed in refrigerators/freezers in their proper area. Assists Assistant Director Food Service Operations in designated inventories. Places orders both electronically and over the phone. Communicates inventory levels to production and performs other related duties as assigned by the Assistant Director.
High School Diploma or GED Certificate required. National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation for ServSafe Protection Certification is required, or must obtain ServSafe Protection Certificate within first 6 to 12 months of employment, and maintain throughout employment. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently enough to perform the duties of the position. Three (3) years’ experience in inventory management, ordering and receiving in a high-volume procurement environment required. Food handling experience required. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web. Attention to detail with appropriate follow through. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet standards and time demands.
