This position is located at our local Distribution Center.Key ResponsibilitiesThe DC Warehouse Associate 1 is responsible for handling product as it comes in from the port and securely shipping it to our local branches and customers.Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience) Utilizes strap and wrap equipmentLoads (shipping) and unloads (receiving) trucksStages product on dock by containerDemonstrates how to generate receiving labels and apply to appropriate palletUses RF gun to move product into position and Quality check before shippingCounts product accurately and ensures accuracy before put away, moves, and shippingReads labels and identifies productCommits to learning, living, and promoting Emser Tile culture and valuesThrive in a busy environment, highly organized, and goal-orientedResults-driven and customer-focusedKnowledge of database and query functionsAbility to accurately read and respond to non-verbal communicationUtilizes critical thinking, decision making, and listeningEmploys influence, relationship building, composure, and open communication tactics to build trust with internal and external customersExcellent basic math functions (piece to square foot calculations)Ability to maintain composure in stressful timesBi-lingual in Spanish is a plusPhysical requirements Ability to work in Distribution Center environment (hot in the summer, cold in the winter)Ability to lift weight up to 80 poundsAbility to see and hearAbility to use hands and armsAbility to bend and kneelAbility to stretch and grabAbility to work in a loud environmentDirect reportsNoneAdditional RequirementsRegular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.This is an hourly position.
