Director Business Strategy


Matrix, in partnership with its expert clinical advisory panel, offers customizable solutions across four distinct lines of business via in-home visits, telehealth, on-site support at medical facilities and businesses, and Mobile Health Clinics:

  • Matrix Clinical Solutions helps keep workers healthy and businesses run productively by designing custom workplace health solutions and providing testing, tracing, and clinical care solutions. Matrix also offers a safety verified certification program developed in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic.
  • Matrix Clinical Care helps seniors and other at-risk individuals enjoy a better quality of care, experience better health outcomes, and identify chronic conditions that may otherwise go undiagnosed.
  • Matrix Clinical Trials provides rapid and scalable decentralized trial solutions to reach broad and diverse trial participant populations and improve the patient experience. Matrix adheres to the highest standards in quality, compliance, and data collection to accelerate trial completion timelines and support trial partners.
  • Matrix Clinical Labs is a CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited laboratory that provides state-of-the-art diagnostic services and clinical testing support.

Matrix Medical Network IT delivers capabilities using cutting edge technologies to support all these lines of business, including Mobile Tablet, Geo-spatial Analysis, Business Intelligence and Custom Business solutions.

About the role:



Type: Full Time Salaried

Compensation: $130,000 to $150,000

Location: Remote or Primary location: 9201 E. Mountain View Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85258.

Travel Requirements: Potential travel for training, workshop facilitation, or leadership meetings.

Hours: Full Time Days

What to Expect:


This position allows you to cultivate your strengths centered in business strategy, operational governance, and design improvements to reinforce the strategic roadmap and support our key business programs. You are enthusiastic about engaging with stakeholders, business partners, and senior leadership to identify, prioritize, and mobilize key initiatives.  You are experimental and eager to solicit feedback and iterate on your thoughts and suggestions. You are flexible and collaborative, with the ability to seamlessly partner with development teams in an agile setting




  • Collaborate with senior leadership on annual & quarterly planning to drive strategic priorities & outcomes
  • Manage strategic programs including process reengineering, launching new products & capabilities, and scoping technology systems & tools
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams of analysts, operations, development, sales, and product owners to execute complex programs and strategies
  • Create future state vision for products, technologies, and processes to advance strategic initiatives
  • Leverage and train associates on a variety of methodologies, technologies, and tools to support company objectives
  • Prioritize cross-functional strategic initiatives, support capacity management, and support executive decision-making for both strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams of analysts, operations, development, sales, and product owners to execute complex programs and strategies

Must Haves:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, communications, or technology related majors (MBA preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience in product, innovation, transformation, process engineering or related field
  • Strong strategic and tactical thinker with the ability to design and implement deliverables and the flexibility to adjust to changing conditions and priorities
  • Talent to facilitate project outcomes through resource, governance, and organizational structure
  • Robust relationship building skills developed across multi-level teams, subject matter experts, and leadership
  • Ambitious, hands-on attitude and strong sense of ownership and positive personality
  • Solid business writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once; balancing priorities, strong planning and organization skills, healthy work ethic, and comfort with a varied workload
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills; ability to create structure out of ambiguity
  • Motivated by moving quickly and performing many functions
  • Provider experience, home healthcare, patient and member experience highly preferred
