Job Description The position of Director - Pharmacy, Distribution, Specialty Markets & GPO, is responsible for the business-to-business relationships between our Company and the following IAM customer segments in the US market: Retail Pharmacy (including retail clinics), Wholesalers and Distributors, National GPOs and Specialty Pharmacy. The product portfolio supported by this position includes all pharmaceutical (primary care & hospital), specialty (including oncology and other specialty medicines) and vaccine products sold in the US. The Director provides input and feedback to the development of segment and channel strategies based upon market trends, customer needs and our Company business objectives and leads the execution of those strategies with these customer types. The Director reports to the Executive Director, National Contract Operations & Supply Chain within the IAM organization. The Director oversees a team of field-based National Account Directors and Executives (NADs & NAEs) that facilitate customer relationships and create an integrated segment-brand strategy that optimizes access to our Company products and services. The team manages fee for service wholesaler agreements (Distribution Services Agreements) covering $20+ billion in sales to optimize inventory and service levels. They also manage contracts with the leading national GPOs covering the our Company product portfolio, where applicable, and agreements with specialty pharmacies for our Company's specialty medicines. As necessary, PDSM/GPO helps to manage extraordinary distribution issues (shortages, allocation processes, new product launches, recalls) to optimize market access to our Company products. PDSM/GPO engages with national and regional Retail and Specialty Pharmacies across a variety of therapeutic areas and business issues. The primary focus is optimization of patient outcomes related to the appropriate use of our Company medicines for indicated health conditions. Relevant business issues with pharmacy customers include product access, packaging, adherence, and product integrity (pedigree, track & trace, anti-counterfeit). PDSM/GPO also plays a critical role in managing master services agreements (MSAs) with vendors that implement approved adherence and acquisition programs in retail and specialty pharmacies. Significant internal stakeholders and business partners include: IAM Segment & Business Leaders; Order Management Center; Payer Brand Marketing and US Business Unit & Marketing Leaders, Channel Strategy & Governance; Global Market Access; Finance - Customer Contract Management; Commercial Legal; Compliance; and our Company's Manufacturing Division. Responsible for compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and our Company policies. QUALIFICATIONS Education: * BA or BS required * Pharmacy degree or relevant experience is desired * MBA or relevant business experience is desired Required: * 5+ years direct account management and/or customer marketing experience * Broad and deep understanding of pharmaceutical channel management, stakeholder interplay, and the economics of the pharmaceutical supply chain. * Strong customer focus, strategic business acumen, cross-functional leadership, integration, project management, communications and prioritization skills. * Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build strong relationships internally and externally with customers * Prior HQ (US Market) experience or substantial collaboration with many of the internal stakeholders and business partners relevant to this role (noted above) * Prior People Management experience * Willingness to travel (nationally) ~50% of the time, including to US Market HQ Desired: * Contract management experience * Negotiation skills * Supply chain experience * Vaccine experience * Product/Payer marketing experience * Cross-divisional positions and/or understanding Our Human Health Division maintains a "patient first, profits later" ideology.
