We are currently looking for an Assistant Vice President of Support Services, to assist in maintaining the efficient and quality operation of the hospital, and work with senior management to ensure high levels of productivity, consumer access, quality, and service. Responsibilities: * Direct activities as their purpose of the planning, development, and implementation of policies, programs, and practices in support of the operating functions of the Hospital. * Participate in developing organizational objectives, strategic plans, and programs related to areas of responsibility and towards achieving hospital objectives. * Plan, develop and implement programs to provide an appropriate working environment for Newark Beth Israel Medical Center employees, visitors, and patients. * Apply professional and technical management skills and techniques to prevent and/or control the avoidable loss of any resource. * Provide strategic, programmatic, and administrative skills in all support areas including Distribution/Mail Services, Food Services, Housekeeping/Transport, and Linen, Maintenance, Safety, and Security. * Identify critical issues to propose corporate policy. * Make independent judgments to accomplish programmatic activities while effectively utilizing assigned fiscal and personnel resources. Qualifications: * MPH, MBA, or MS in health care administration, business administration, nursing, public health administration, or a related field (Required). * Five to seven years of progressive management experience (Required). * Demonstrated strength in planning. * Strong analytic skills.
