Day - 08 Hour (United States of America)This is a UHA job; A Brief Overview: The primary responsibility of this position is to direct, supervise and coordinate the day to day operations of the clinical practices assigned for the region of responsibility. This involves either direct or indirect responsibility for staffing, budgeting, fiscal planning, contract management, marketing, physician compensation analysis, best practices standardization by specialty, payor contract management, research and education, community benefit oversight and reporting, patient and physician satisfaction, liaison between foundation, finance, HR, PBO, telecommunications, responsible for equipment purchases and maintenance, facility maintenance and development. These responsibilities are carried out through daily interaction with physicians, managers, supervisors, and senior administrative personnel. Continuously assess work environment and processes to identify safety risks. Address safety issues identified or brought forward by staff, and resolve as appropriate.What you will do: - Building Teamwork:- Meets with management team and practice managers/supervisor to ensure expectations are being met.- Provides an atmosphere of open communication to facilitate teamwork.- Use the principles of LEAN management to bring resolution to problems that arise in the care center.- Provide opportunities to cross train staff.- Keep managers and employees informed of changes with the organization.- Supervise & Direct Practice Managers:- Oversee an direct practice leads to ensure quality and standard compliance.- Ensure there is adequate staffing to provide appropriate level of service.- Interview and hire new employees.- Train new employees and/or make appropriate mentoring assignments.- Prepare and conduct employee performance appraisals.- Budgeting Responsibilities:- Prepare or assist in the preparation of the annual budget.- Monitor monthly expense reports and provide information on variances.- Direct management in practices efficient in order to operate within budget.- Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of group practice management in an integrated setting, with emphasis on A/R revenue cycle management, overall operations in a clinical setting, to include multi-specialty operations, front end, back office, clinical operations, ambulatory policies and operating procedures, coding and compliance, provider and patient satisfaction standards and marketing in a foundation setting. Should be up to date on current state regulations and policies affecting employees and healthcare.- All other duties as assigned including department-specific functions and responsibilities:- Performs other duties as assigned and participates in organization projects as assigned.- Adheres to safety, P4P's (if applicable), HIPAA and compliance policies.Education Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in business or related field.- Master's degree in Health Care or Business Administration preferred. Experience Qualifications: - Managerial and administrative experience in a medical clinic or group practice setting with an emphasis on practice management services, foundation operations or multi-site operation.- Must possess general knowledge of the healthcare system, billing processes, clinical procedures, budget preparation, staffing models, employee regulations, marketing, research & education, coding & compliance and previous interaction with physicians in a management role. Skills and Abilities: - High level of verbal and written communication skills with a strong capacity for detail, maintaining clear/effective contact with physicians, employees, administration and corporate personnel.- Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple priorities and meet required deadlines.- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills to ensure process improvement and projects are completed successfully.- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).- Strong interpersonal skills necessary in order develop and maintain collaborative relationships with staff and physicians.- Management skills necessary to attract and maintain a highly effective and motivated staff.- Proven ability to work independently to produce accurate work of the highest quality.- Manages relationships relevant to projects and requires the ability to gain cooperation of others.- Business analytical skills, including financial planning.- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationship with staff and physicians.- Ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports.- Physician relations skills.- Leadership team building and consensus building skills.
