Job Description The Sales and Application Engineer will provide both business development for market entry of products, and acquisition of new customers in growth segments to position the company as a leader in North America. This will entail frequent visits to customers for product demonstrations, technical presentations, and strategic customer solution discussions. Job Responsibilities * Regularly meets with and gains an understanding of key customer needs and desires in the product are defined. * Identifies opportunities for sales and new product offerings in the assigned product areas. * Generates appointments and schedules customer meetings and presentations, including report generation of important customer visits and events. * Evaluation of customer requirements and preparation of RFQs. * Supports the introduction of company products with customers through direct on-site support, potentially including product installation and training for customer engineers and technicians. * Supports the market development of Service and Rental business opportunities in the product area. * Gains competitive market analysis information and helps develop sales and marketing strategies for specific market sectors with continuous elaboration of competitor and market information. * Definition and execution of measures and activities for strengthening relation with existing customers with the target to extend the business with these customers. * Use of CRM system according to the rules (e.g., account information, visit information, opportunity management, etc.). * Participates at trade shows for product area and follows up on opportunities.
