Job Description
Overview * Greets patients both in person and on phone. * Answers phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Routes phone calls accordingly. * Performs all front desk duties, tasks and obligations. * Schedules appointments in person or by telephone. * Patient Check-in and Check-out. * Obtains and updates patient's personal and insurance information. * Collects copays, deductibles and balances. * Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and documentation. * Daily closing of financials. * Sort and distributes faxes and mail. * Performs other general administrative tasks as directed by management. * Ensure and maintains neatness and cleanliness of the reception area and the waiting room. * Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information. * Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes. * Contributes to practice by being a team player. Responsibilities Provides support to all aspects of the office operations. Answers all incoming phone calls, greets patients, and provides appointments to patients in person and by phone. Distributes and maintains incoming faxes and mail. Reconciles all patient invoices and payments at the end of the day. Qualifications Education and Work Experience High School Graduate or GED Equivalent required. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Customer Services experience required.
