The Assistant General Manager (AGM) position creates legendary experiences for guests and team members through the management of the Heart of House (HOH) and assumes full responsibility for the sports bar in the General Managers (GM) absence. The AGM is directly accountable for the execution and performance of the HOH and provides direction and supervision to all kitchen team members.
Operational Efficiency
Manages the operation of the sports bar, conducting effective figure 8s throughout each
shift
Supports the management of COS, CVDs and labor related costs for FOH
Responsible for GLI, PGR and other guest feedback metrics related to HOH service
Manages the HOH execution (service, safety and efficiency) as well as the overall HOH
financial and labor performance
Oversees effective and efficient scheduling of labor for HOH
Assists in managing food cost and variances
Reviews and analyzes overall inventory and ordering levels
Assists the GM in overseeing overall restaurant performance and sales building initiatives
Assists in successful management of all rollouts and introductions of new products, tools
and services
Manages the balance of labor hours and service efficiency during their shift to meet labor
guidelines without sacrificing guest service
Team Member Development and Coaching
Interviews, hires, onboards, trains, develops and retains team members, with specific
responsibility for HOH staffing
Mentors, coaches and counsels team member and shift manager behaviors. Disciplines and
terminates team members as needed
Ensures the execution of training programs and ensures compliance for direct reports on all
training and certification requirements
Handles team members' complaints or concerns by actively listening, involving the
necessary individuals, investigating and resolving where appropriate
Supports GM with HOH Wing Certified Trainer (WCT) selection and training program
execution
Stays current on all federal, state, local and company required training and certifications,
such as responsible alcohol service and food safety
