Harmonia Collaborative Care is a growing Human Services Organization with a vision of empowering individuals to be healthy and fulfilled BILLING AND CREDENTIALING SPECIALIST FT/Non-Exempt SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with billing functions to obtain revenue and payment including maintaining account receivable reports according to our policies and procedures manual.   Responsible for credentialing new and current providers with Insurance Plans. MAJOR DUTIES: -- Posting of payments received from claims submissions -- Credential all new providers and ensure current providers are up-to-date with all insurance plans. -- Assist with accurately entering and submitting of billing information in a timely fashion. -- Analyze, detect, and resolve billing issues/denials/rejections and reconcile accounts. -- Prepare aging reconciliations, monitor, and pursue collections of delinquent accounts with insurers. -- Credentials new staff and ensures credentials of existing staff remain current. -- Ensure billing complies with all regulations. EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE -- Associate Degree or similar combination of Experience and Education will be considered. -- 5 years medical billing and institutional billing and accounts receivable with knowledge of APG and rate code billing, mental health experience preferred. -- Strong communication and time management skills -- Attention to detail with strong analytical skills -- Familiar with billing software (TenEleven a preferred), excel and other computer skills COMPETENCIES: -- The ability to work through claim issues by using a logical and organized approach -- Reliable, responsible, and team-oriented candidate who can follow through with instructions -- Works well in a fast-paced environment and can switch tasks quickly and easily.
