This individual will provide program Quality and Mission Assurance support for all programs spanning the lifecycle of the program including design, development, production, test and supplier support. Investigates and determines root causes of problems. Develops and implements corrective and preventive actions.20% - Provides support to the Quality and Mission Assurance leadership in creating, resourcing, implementing and tracking continuous improvement projects through to completion.10% - Prepares comprehensive analyses, procedures, reports and presentations for both internal and external customers.10% - Provides Quality Engineering direction including, but not limited to these areas:Requirements flowdown: Ensure program design and process documents for area of responsibility include program quality requirements and that products are inspectable.Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA). Lead effort to quantify and reduce risk using this quality tool. Is considered the process expert.Process mistake proofing/improvement. Actively participates in improvement teams to reduce risk through the application of mistake proofing principles.Inspects method development and implementation. Develops, implements and monitors new or existing inspection methods to ensure products meet stated engineering requirements.First Article Inspection execution per AS9102 requirements.Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality or other appropriate discipline and nine (9) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.Additional Requirements:Experience leading diverse teams through a product lifecycleExperience leading root cause and corrective action investagations.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a close-knit team environment; highly motivated team player.Ability to analyze, evaluate and develop solutions to a variety of situations.Must consistently meet commitments.Desired Qualifications:Advanced degree in a related fieldAPQP ExperienceBeing fully vaccinated for COVID-19 maybe a condition of employment at Aerojet Rocketdyne.
