PBG is looking for a solid Security Architect with experience in software development to join our team of professionals, supporting our Government Customer in Washington, DC.

Location: McLean, VA | Temporary working remote during COVID-19

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Zero Trust strategic planning support and documentation on behalf of OPM CISO and OCIO.
  • Experience in reviewing existing security documentation, interviewing key agency stakeholders, and incorporating industry best practices in producing the Zero Trust Documentation.
  • Develop Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) strategy, policy, and charter in alignment to OMB M-19-17.
  • Experience in developing Security workflow automation strategy and recommendations.
  • Expertise in integrating security with Secure Continuous Integration/Delivery (CI/CD) strategy and recommendations.
  • Develops Zero Trust change management communications plan and communications strategy.
  • Provide support in developing Data classification schema documentation.
  • Provide expertise and recommend solutions for Zero Trust strategic planning.
  • Provide integral support in requirements determination, conceptualization, systems analysis, design, development, verification and validation, documentation, and implementation of Zero Trust Governance and Strategy support.
  • Leads or works on a team in the initiating, planning, controlling, executing, and closing tasks of programs and projects or segment of a program or project to produce the solution deliverable.
  • Develops and maintains best Zero Trust practices to meet changing business needs.
  • Lead ideation, strategy and partner with stakeholders to build Zero Trust strategy and execution plans.
  • Partner with market leading Zero Trust product vendors to develop go to market strategies and solutions

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams with Enterprise architecture experience (TOGAF, SABSA) and creating architecture documentation (patterns, standards, architectural decisions)
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Experience with security architecture and solutions including but not limited to zero trust security, segmentation, micro-segmentation strategy, design, and implementation
  • Understanding and delivery experience with leading security frameworks (i.e., National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity (CSF), Zero Trust, etc.)
  • Degree, certifications, or coursework in IT security (CISSP, etc.) -Preferred
  • 2+ years' experience with security engineering & architecture
  • Security+ certification or equivalent: -Preferred
  • Experience with DevSecOps - -Preferred
  • Deep understanding of NIST SP: 800-53, OMB M 22-09 -Preferred
  • Independent critical thinking skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity, and a customer service-oriented personality
  • Takes initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation and demonstration skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Collaborator with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing client support, including ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
  • Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Security Clearance
