General Description:

The Services Procurement Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining tools and procedures that support procurement of construction, operations, and engineering services. This position will be on a hybrid remote work schedule, working three days in office and two days from home.

Main accountabilities:

  • Create, implement, and manage a competitive bid process for all services required by EDPR NA
  • Develop contracting strategies and processes for tendering Requests for Proposals, reviewing and leveling vendor proposals, and negotiating contracts that result in the best value possible
  • Serve as a liaison between the Procurement, Construction, Engineering, and Operations departments
  • Develop and manage purchasing plans and strategies relating to construction of the company’s wind farms and solar park.
  • Interface with suppliers during the Request for Proposal process
  • Maintain responsibility for bid evaluations, commercial and contractual negotiations, and contract approval prior to contract finalization
  • Create a competitive bid process that can be used at all levels of the organization
  • Assist with the training of personnel in negotiations and contract management
  • Oversee the development of standardized processes and templates for all contracting efforts
  • Supervise the work of Contracts Analysts and Contracts Associates
  • Additional duties as required

Travel: 10-20%

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 7 + years of experience in contract management, procurement, and negotiations
  • Thorough knowledge of the competitive bid process for construction, engineering, and operations services and of negotiation techniques
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise. (Preferred).

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment

  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds

  • Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
