Job Description
This position is responsible for the ETE Integration Systems Engineering, Solution Architecture and High Level Designs for: Solutions to deliver enhancements to AT&T’s Cloud platforms (Network Cloud, DCU, etc.) Core (Layer 2 / Layer 3) Network Fabric capabilities for emerging Mobility 5G Services Network Functions on AT&T’s SDN Platform covering the OSS/NSS set of SDN Applications, the Cloud Infrastructure and the Network Fabric. Principal Responsibilities for this position include Collaboration with the SDN Platform teams, Cloud (NC, DCU) infrastructure teams, the Mobility 5G services teams and Core Network Operations teams to understand their cloud, network, services and operational needs and define the applicable Fabric OSS/NSS Applications impacts Creation of ETE Solutions and Designs based upon the currently available SDN Platform capabilities via Self-Serve and new SDN Platform capabilities that need to be developed Conducting detailed technical reviews of the ETE Designs with the impacted Applications teams and modifying the designs iteratively within the constraints of scope doability and release timelines Working with the Applications teams during the post-Commit phases of a project to resolve technical issues. Education: Required: PhD, Masters or Bachelors degree in an approved field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Mathematics from an accredited university. Experience: PhD in an approved field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Desired/Required Skills: Experience, breadth and depth of technical knowledge and the ability to influence the direction of projects to meet the overall AT&T Network, Cloud and Mobility 5G core services goals. Prior experience and subject-matter-knowledge in one or more of the following areas – (1) Systems and Software Engineering, (2) IP Networking technology, (3) Network Cloud and Public Clouds infrastructure, and (4) Network Operations. Good written and communications skills are needed for this position.
