Paid Summer Internship, Race InitiativeRemoteWho we are:For over 30 years, CSH has been a game-changerfor the most vulnerable people in our country:Helping communities create 200,000 homes for individuals and families who did not have one;Bringing hope to thousands who thought they would live on the streets or reside in institutions forever;Ensuring not only a stable home for each, but access to the services that brought healthcare, recovery and training to their doorstepsWhywe need you:CSH is seeking an intern to work with the Redesigning Accessby Centering Equity (RACE) Initiative Project Director to gain experience insupportive and affordable housing lending and racial equity through activeparticipation in day-to-day activities as well as involvement in specialprojects.The RACE Initiative is anational initiative with current focus in New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles,Bay Area and Georgia. The intern will gain experience in building data models,event planning and marketing. A candidate for this role should demonstratetheir ability to learn and develop professionally within a team environmentwhile also being able to work individually on special projects.Location: RemoteTimeCommitment: Minimum of 20 hours a week for 12 weeksCompensation: $25 per hourWhatyou will do:Under the supervision on theRedesigning Access by Centering Equity (RACE) Lending Initiative ProjectDirector, the intern will participate in a number of projects related to ourracial equity lending initiative:Assist in the creation of a dashboard to record and track both lending and technical assistance goals under the RACE InitiativeAssist with planning a BIPOC convening and networking eventConduct research and/or data analysis related to potential funding partners for the RACE InitiativeOther special projects that will be clearly defined with clear goals and deliverablesDo you have:All CSH staff share a commoncompetency framework.These competenciesguide our approach and help us to create value.The successful candidate will be adaptable, entrepreneurial,collaborative, innovative, flexible, and a problem solver.Their work will be driven by strategic thinkingand executed with creativity and efficiency.They will demonstrate patience and a commitment to treating others withrespect.Candidates for this internship mustmeet the following qualifications:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsInterest in learning about supportive housingInterest in racial equity and access to capital for BIPOC people and organizationsAbility to create a Tableau dashboard to assist in the tracking and managing of key equity metrics to share and support accountability.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
