Job Description
REVOLT Media & TV creates and curates the best in hip-hop culture and engages youth in social conversation - on-air, on-line, and on-demand. This unapologetically hip-hop, multi-platform network offers original and acquired programming for linear and digital platforms as well as live events and activations across the country. The Events & Experiential Executive will oversee the strategy, planning, development, and execution of new and existing REVOLT events and experiential platforms including the REVOLT SUMMIT, REVOLT Gaming Camp, and cultural REVOLTHOUSE events. What You'll Do: * Manage all elements of REVOLT's event and experiential business including the REVOLT Summit, REVOLT Gaming Camp, and REVOLTHOUSE executions * Lead the creation, planning, implementation, and integration of the strategic direction of our large-scale events/conferences and experiential business * Ownership of P&L, hiring of cross-functional internal and external teams, vendor selections, logistics, ticket/revenue models, and sponsorship fulfillment * Forge new opportunities and strategic partnerships to expand reach, scale, and impact of the business * Accelerate the growth of REVOLT's business by exploring new revenue opportunities, utilizing insights and analytics, competitive analysis, and optimizing partnerships and operations. * Develop and track Objectives and Key Results for the Department * Collaborate with REVOLT's internal Talent, Sales, Creative, Digital, Finance, PR, and Agency teams * Develop both the annual budget and long-term strategic plan for the Events and Experiential business What you bring: * 10+ years managing the planning, operations, and logistics of large-scale events and conferences * At least 5 years' experience in a managerial or executive role, managing cross-functional teams and budgets with a track record for meeting deadlines and completing projects within budget. * In depth understanding of business and technical functions involved in studio, remote, and live events (e.g. Sales, Engineering, Tech Ops, Digital, etc.). * Have established contacts and experience working with vendors, venues, and local municipalities * Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple tasks and responsibilities * Team-player and leader who drives innovation and encourages collaborative relationships. * Problem solver and critical thinker that can handle high pressure situations * Proficient technical skills with expertise in Office applications and project management tools * Deep knowledge of Hip Hop and Black culture * Flexibility to travel and work anywhere in the US as needed. * Preferred BA/BS, or relevant work experience
