SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE The Customer Solutions Manager is responsible for supporting highly impactful, existing customer and new customer acquisitions to best position Worldwide Express & GlobalTranz commercially as a leading 3PL & Managed Solutions provider. They will perform essential functions for Solution Directors and will also lead lower complexity customer pursuits. They will understand our business and technology, transform data into actionable opportunities, work on projects, and provide modeling. Customer engagement (Directly and Indirectly) * Identify and support opportunities across all sales channels (Direct Sales & Agent Community), conducting meetings in person and via webinar to present proposals, offer solutions, and close business * Work with sales team to understand customers' business model, competitive advantages, challenges, and supply chain goals * Collaborate across internal teams (e.g. operations, pricing, reporting, tech, implementation) to develop tailored solutions that deliver value and support the customer's business strategy * Provide system demonstrations, perform cost studies, prepare and present enrollment agreements * Expand opportunities with existing WWEX & GTZ customer base through solution-based selling * Engage with customers to foster close relationships, close deals, and ensure ongoing account success * Meet or exceed individual, departmental, and organizational sales goals by driving gross profit and company revenue streams to actively support company objectives Internal team * Coordinate solution design across internal teams (e.g. Solution Directors, operations, pricing, reporting, tech), including acting as point person to share knowledge and maintain internal timelines across teams * Work closely with Customer Implementation, System Integration and Operations Teams to successfully onboard new clients * Work closely with account managers and operations to resolve service failures, strengthen customer relations, identify opportunities and devise strategies to improve margins and secure new business * Utilize pipeline system to organize, update, and keep records of customer information for the Solutions Team * Identify and document trends in opportunity pipeline to build institutional knowledge * Demonstrate solid decision-making skills and ability to prioritize ever-changing daily tasks * Other duties as assigned WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree with three to five years of successful multi-modal transportation experience * Extensive transportation sales experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree ADDITIONAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Preferred 3+ years successful business development experience in multi-modal transportation & logistics * Proven history of success in sales, sales operations, sales analytics, or account management * Strong business and financial acumen, with ability to be strategic thinker * Strong ability to meet task deadlines and follow up with internal/external customers as committed (Light project management) * Superior organization, prioritization, negotiation, business and technical writing skills * Specific experience in pricing, load coverage and carrier management preferred * Experience using data visualization tools a plus (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) * Ability to be client focused and build collaborative relationships * Excellent presentation skills and ability to translate complex technical information in a way that is easy to understand * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work professionally and effectively with a diverse group of individuals, internally and externally * Self-directed and able to work independently as well as in a team setting and thrive in a fast paced, agile environment * Ability to adjust to customer and carrier needs * Ability to demonstrate WWEX and GTZ Core Values and Competencies, including being a reliable, responsible, and dependable person who fulfills obligations * Fluent with computers and common business applications to enter, access or retrieve data and navigate through multiple systems with proficiency with the ability to learn new technology easily * Ability to work outside of standard business hours when needed TRAVEL * Significant local and national travel may be required for this role * Availability to entertain/meet with clients regularly * Ability to travel up to 50% of the time OTHER DUTIES This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
