Payroll Tax Specialist New York As Barclays Jr HR Tax and Financial Control Analyst, you will join the HR Operations Payroll Service Delivery function ensuring the timely and accurate delivery and accounting of salaries, wages, overtime, incentive payments, and benefits for US and Canadian payroll operations. You will also assist in the HR Operations Tax function such as payroll-related reporting, payroll-related signoff activities, tax filings/reviews, and other general ledger activities. What will you be doing? * You will be responsible for end-to-end tax processing and associated reconciliations for the US and Canada * Interacting with internal and external banking teams regarding wire payments and book transfers * Processing payroll improvements and diagnostics as they relate to both payroll & tax * Reporting, meeting and collaboration on quality and efficiency of payroll processes * Presenting materials required for internal and external auditors, including but not limited to Sign Offs, Reconciliations, Checklists, Tracking logs, Process guides, etc. * You will be final touch point/resolver of employee inquiries on all subjects pertaining to tax * Reviewing procedures to ensure control and compliance with policy, tax laws and SARBOX * Preparing book journal entries or Payroll transactions as needed What we're looking for: * 1+ years of administrative experience in fast-paced, service-oriented environment * 1+ years of Human Resources experience * Working knowledge of ADP EV5 payroll system * Basic understanding of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) rules Skills that will help you in the role: * Working knowledge of the SAP HR System * Working knowledge of the Time & Attendance systems * General knowledge of payroll, general ledger accounting, and SAP HR * Prorated and weighted wage calculations Where will you be working? You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue.
