More Than a Job

Were hiring for an Audit Senior Manager to sit in our Miami office, and support work in multiple offices throughout the firm.  Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

  • Top review of audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries including but not limited to not for profit and middle market private
  • Review financial statements and disclosures for appropriateness in form, content, completeness, and accuracy
  • Review required communications to the client, ensuring their completeness, accuracy and compliance with Firm and professional guidelines
  • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, prepare a final product that requires minimal review by partners
  • Advanced technical knowledge of accounting and reporting standards
  • Identify audit and risk management issues and propose potential solutions through research and collaboration with Quality Review and Engagement Partner
  • Stay current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impacts on their client engagements
  • Conduct research, consult with team members, draw conclusions and prepare memos based on target issues
  • Oversee Seniors and Staff coordinating the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap-up
  • Top review financial statements, workpapers and evaluate internal controls
  • Primary client contact and liaison for complex issues that staff are unable to resolve; communicate effectively with clients and develop positive relationships with client personnel
  • Communicate with Director and/or Partner on work status and client issues that arise
  • Perform a detailed review of team's workflow and monitor that tasks are assigned and completed on a timely basis
  • Supervise, train and mentor audit staff
  • Take a lead role in client and team meetings and contribute new ideas and strategic initiatives
  • Stay current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impacts on their client engagements
  • Fully versed in firms history and service offerings
  • Participation in firms marketing and recruitment efforts including candidate assessment

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field 
  • 7+ years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience managing engagements and clients
  • Ability to work independently, but also work well with others
  • Advanced knowledge of a minimum of 1-2 industry areas which the firm services

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA License or on track to obtain
  • 3+ years supervisory experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Software Experience - CCH ProSystem, Microsoft Office 365
