The Deposit Team Leader will report directly to the Retail Division SCALE Team Leader and will lead a team of Deposit Analysts to ensure a high quality of deposit services to multiple Brown & Brown Retail offices. The leader oversees and coaches the team in the performance of the individual and department responsibilities and ensure that the processing of all phases of deposit entries for the offices within the Team is done in accordance with established company practices and timelines.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Leads the Deposit Team in managing the day-to-day activities to support the deposit functions for multiple offices.Troubleshoots and provides guidance.Fosters and maintains positive relationships with key stakeholders.Monitor daily banking activity, which includes accounts receivable and direct bill deposits.Monitors individual teammates and the department's progress towards meeting goals.Oversees the daily workflow of the department.Coach teammates for success through constructive and timely coaching conversations.Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new teammates.Records all daily bank transactions, including check deposits, EFT's, etc as needed.Ensure all support for transactions is processed and filed accurately and timely in agency management systems.Collaborate with Accounting & Administrative team on day-to-day banking activity.Operate a personal computer and appropriate software packages or their equivalent.Follow Agency and finance audit guidelines, policies, and procedures.Leverage software automation and identify process efficiencies.Analyze and identify trends to become subject matter expert within scope of assigned carrier partner.Build courteous and successful relationships with carriers and profit centers to maintain efficient practice.Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office.Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development,legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education.WHAT YOU'LL NEED:Required:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field2-5 years of work experience of processing deposit and receivable transactions or a similar roleWorking knowledge of financial accounting and state regulations where business is conducted.Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word and ExcelProficient knowledge use of office equipmentPreferred:Proficiency in Vertafore AMS360 products.2 years supervisory experienceWHAT WE OFFER:Excellent growth and advancement opportunitiesCompetitive pay based on experienceDiscretionary Time Off (DTO)Generous benefits package: health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.Employee Stock Purchase PlanWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
