This position offers a competitive wage of $11.75-$13/hr based on qualifications and experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A RESIDENT ASSOCIATE As a Resident Associate for seniors, you tend to their daily needs and assist in making their lives as pleasant and independently driven as possible. You look forward to providing assistance in everything including light housekeeping, personal hygiene, meal preparation, making phone calls, daily care of pets and plants, fitting and adjusting visual and auditory aids, and more. You also accompany residents to each scheduled activity and encourage family members who wish to participate. You are meticulous about keeping resident activities and level of care reports accurate and up-to-date. By promptly reporting any problems, changes in resident condition, issues with equipment, or family/visitor issues to your supervisor, you help ensure the safety of our residents. You maintain a safe and sanitary environment and when necessary wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to minimize exposure to health hazards. Some aspects of this job are not easily accomplished, but the reward of happy residents is definitely worth the effort. You have come to see your residents as family and sympathize in their sorrows and rejoice in their happiness. Seeing your residents smile from the guidance, care, and compassion you show to them is priceless. You enjoy being able to make a difference in this senior caregiving position. QUALIFICATIONS * High school diploma or equivalent * Basic knowledge of general office equipment and Microsoft Office products * Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and push/pull 100 lbs Previous Caregiving/Certified Nursing Assistant (NA), CPR, automated external defibrillator, and first aid certifications are preferred, but not required.
