The Clinical Director of Hospital System Performance Improvement will serve as the lead clinical expert collaborating with a consulting team that performs health system due diligence, program redesign, implementation, and sustainability for commercial and market performance partnerships.  

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leading clinical improvement initiatives focusing on enhancing operational and financial performance
  • Designing best practice models of operation to improve clinical performance, and supporting product sales initiatives
  • Identifying complex business problems and developing project frameworks to reveal root cause barriers with solutions 
  • Building consensus amongst client sponsors and stakeholders who play a critical key role in the ability to successfully sell and implement identified solutions
  • Leading initiative teams to accurately diagnose the issues the client has identified (as well as underlying issues) and determine the appropriate solutions that will lead the client to achieve best practice performance
  • Supporting and/or leading the creation of due diligence materials and other business development activities (e.g. proposals and Statements of Work or SOWs)
  • Providing strategic input to the development of project/program roadmap and timelines
  • Supporting the management of resources within projects/programs
  • Creating a team-oriented work climate that enables professional development and encourages creative solutions and strategies
  • Providing coaching and mentoring of project team members with the goal of developing and retaining talent within the organization
  • Serving as a trusted advisor with clients and team members
  • Create supporting collateral and support sales effort with clinical staff
  • Provide project management support for large initiatives
  • Lead and coordinate initiative activities (analyses and report creation)
  • Coordinate data integration activities
  • Provide general healthcare consulting services

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Nursing or Health Administration
  • 10+ years of healthcare or healthcare consulting leadership experience
  • 10+ years evaluating healthcare program outcomes, performance measurement, and program leadership
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Excel, Access, SAS, and SQL
  • Ability to travel 50-80%

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $113,500 to $218,100. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $113,500 to $218,100. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
