Job Summary: We are an Electrical Manufacturers Representatives company founded in the 1940's. We are growing in our S. FL market and looking for a seasoned manufacturers representative to call on customers in the South Florida territory. The right candidate has experience in both electrical engineering and sales in the electrical industry. Experience working as a manufacturers rep calling on utilities and engineering firms in Florida a bonus. A strong knowledge of medium voltage power distribution equipment is a must. We are looking for quality individuals who want to grow with us.. What You'll Do Take ownership of existing utility sales and C&I opportunities and drive them to close; Cultivate strong relationships with utilities, engineers, end users, contractors and distributors to help grow relationships and drive business; Train and educate engineers and contractors on medium voltage power distribution products represented by our agency. Travel weekly within the S. FL. territory to visit customers on site; Track and source new opportunities through multiple relationships, systems, and tools; Work directly with end users, engineers and utilities to promote our represented product lines; Drive engagements with external consultants to develop strong utility pitches and engage in relevant regulatory and policy issues. Who You Are Live in South Florida (specific location not important as long as located in the territory) 7+ years of industry experience working with or for utility companies, engineering firms or outside sales roles; Proven track record of successfully closing complex sales over long cycles; Demonstrated project management skills, including managing and compiling quotations from several manufacturers taken from information on one-lines and specifications; Experience in the medium voltage electrical equipment industry (sales / engineering.) Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail Proven ability to quickly learn, understand complex topics, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
