If you're hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds to make a real difference, there's only one choice.YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Product Planner, are to: Determine and establish rolling 12 month capacity and labor requirements for all assigned production areas to meet the following criteria;Produce product to support customer service needs;Optimize manufacturing resource utilization;Achieve established inventory goals;Monitor Quality Assurance (QA) releases of manufactured goods;Provide follow up to expedite when there are issues that could delay shipments or production;Evaluate actual production versus current planning values to determine areas for possible improvements and communicate all system data changes to the Material Coordinators;Actively steer finite resource requirements including labor, machine capacity, and materials to achieve the defined inventory, service level, and OPEX goals for the assigned area of responsibility;Track schedule adherence for all areas of manufacturing in an effort to identify areas with improvement potential;Coordinate Finite resource requirements including manpower, machines, and related resources;Communicate and recommend adjustment regarding overtime, capacity or labor issues;Manage inventory levels for the products and resources which have been assigned;Actively eliminate obsolete inventory and address slow moving materials;Identify and implement opportunities for inventory reduction;Develop and implement inventory plans based on MRP requirements, production, inventory goals and departmental guidelines for assigned materials;Support the site's Operational Excellence initiative by serving as a project team member as needed;Substitute for others in the planning and scheduling function when they are not available (vacation, etc.) to provide back-up support for priority planning topics and issues, as needed;Supervise other professionals. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:Required Qualifications:Non-degreed with at least 10 years of supply chain management experience OR Associate's degree with at least six years of supply chain management experience OR Bachelor's degree with at least four years of supply chain management experience OR Master's degree with at least two years of supply chain management;Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment;ERP experience;Strong organizational and communication skills, time management and proven computer skills, including spreadsheet experience;Ability to deal with multiple fast paced demands, tight deadlines, and dynamic situations;Ability to maintain integrated computer systems and related data accuracy.
