Job Description

We are looking for a Field Service Supervisor that under general direction will perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and replacement of HVACR mechanical equipment, building control systems, and plumbing. Assists branch leadership with coaching and mentoring of branch technicians with the delivery of customer satisfaction and following operational processes. Providing technical support and assistance with technical development for technicians. Ensures work is being performed in compliance with state, local, and federal legal requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics. Properly completes all required project and service documentation. Assists Service Coordinator and Service Manager/Branch Service Manager in scheduling and job coordination.


Essential Duties

  • Adheres to all CES safety policies and procedures.
  • Supervises and maintains CES Customer 24-hour response commitment.
  • Meets with new and existing customers regularly for service quality control, technician performance, work scope, and additional service opportunities to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provides solutions to others on very complex system problems by either troubleshooting or advising how to resolve problems.
  • Assists management with assuring proper field operational disciplines of technicians are followed such as posting time, ordering parts, checking in/out, and completing proper documentation for customers with clear and precise comments.
  • Evaluate and report technician performance and skillset to Service Manager.
  • Implements Service Manager assigned training plan for technicians.
  • Assists Sales and Service teams in developing quotes and estimates for identified T&M work, Projects, and Service Agreements as required.
  • Assists in managing tool inventory for vehicles and warehouses as required.
  • Assists with the identification of material needs required for service delivery.
  • Assists the Service Manager, Service Account Engineer, and/or Service Coordinator with identifying and scheduling individuals with the correct skills and knowledge to perform maintenance, repairs, or installation.
  • Keeps customers informed on the nature of service provided outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, and or repairs. Seek out and develop pull-through work and other potential business opportunities. Including additions to a service agreement, building automation work, and equipment replacement.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Field Technician (No Direct Reports)

Experience

  • 15 years of Commercial HVAC-R is required
  • Centrifugal and Air Chiller experience preferred.

Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of the industry discipline hired for; HVAC, Refrigeration, Controls, or Plumbing services.
  • Superior verbal and written skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
  • Demonstrates effective negotiation techniques.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop relationships.
  • Strong analysis and judgment skills.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • The position requires 24hr availability.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate at all levels.

Licenses/Certifications

  • A valid Florida Driver's License is required
  • Incumbent must be insurable at all times by CES insurance carrier

PERFORMANCE FACTORS:

  • Customer retention > 95% is a primary measurement for the success of this position.
  • Customer satisfaction, is based on customer feedback and survey information.
  • Increase pull-through work from service accounts based on a number of quotes and revenue volume.
  • Job chargeable is equal to or better than the goal set during the review.
