Job Locations US-VA-Smithfield Your Opportunity The eCommerce and Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for working closely with brand marketing to execute and optimize Smithfields digital marketing strategy. The ideal candidate can translate brand objectives into digital technology solutions to evolve the business forward. This individual should have a strong understanding of all eCommerce and Digital Marketing tenets and will be responsible for driving Digital Commerce sales and improved UX across our portfolio of brands. This position requires hybrid expertise in eCommerce, digital technology and brand marketing. Core Responsibilities Support integrated, multi-channel digital marketing programs and campaigns Provide budget forecasting insights and manage invoicing process Support vision, scope and requirements for digital marketing ensuring functional and strategic alignment across different channels Develop external partnerships and support contract negotiations with vendors to optimize digital marketing investments Execute digital and ecommerce strategies for businesses, working in close partnership with supporting functions and teams Serve as super-user for variety of digital marketing tools Assist with the implementation of new marketing technology rollouts including training and user adoption Lead testing in sandbox environments and correct any issues that arise Relationship management with internal technology users and vendors Communicate and collaborate with IT teams daily Support systems integrations & optimize current or new technology investments Deploy new marketing technologies and projects to support future roadmap Ensure marketing technology products meet security and legal requirements Document best practices in a consumable fashion to drive re-use and scale within marketing Work with 3rd party providers to provide support for marketing technologies Optimization of product content on digital shelf / retailer websites Optimization of SEO and eCommerce paid search strategy Execute Email Marketing efforts and Owned First Party Data Strategy Assist in planning and implementing promotional campaigns including promotion codes, landing pages, transactional emails Define customer segmentation as well as marketing journeys to deploy through digital platforms to deliver growth in alignment with brand strategy Ensures User Interface/User Experience is logical and functional for smooth user flow The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Management, Information Technology or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Strong problem solver Understanding of the key tenets of eCommerce and digital marketing (SEO, Content, Social, Web development, API, etc) Understanding of profit and revenue drivers and analysis Excited to define strategy, launch and execution of new pilot programs Understands system capabilities and finds ways to improve system performance. Familiar with key IT / infrastructure solutions (PIM, DAM, CRM, CMS) Excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to develop positive relationships when part of a dynamic and cross-functional team. Able to develop a new way of thinking to drive innovative ideas. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Suite: including, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Requires travel, up to 25% of the time. Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
