We are looking for an experienced Accounting Associate to assist with A/R Billing and to support the billing/accounting team in order to achieve project and company goals. Staff member will be an key member
of the accounting team. Working in tandem with Accounting Manager and Controller to make sure
the flow of work is accurate and completed in a timely manner.

This position will report to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for monthly billing of multiple contracts, percent complete billing and assisting with preparation of weekly reports. The goal of this position is to become fully familiar with our accounting processes; contributing to the accounting staff and to achieve project and company goals.

Job Details

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Monthly billing of multiple contract type contracts
• Understanding of contract invoices, AIA forms and Lien Waivers
• Creating and posting of contract invoices, AIA forms and Lien Waivers
• Reviewing of contract documents to confirm accuracy of billing
• Assisting with preparation of weekly reports
• Percent complete billing
• Work closely with project management and purchasing team to ensure job estimates are up to date.
• Tracking and processing change Orders
• Assist with managing AP systems as needed
• Assist with payment scheduling as needed
• Assist with disbursement breakdowns as needed

Experience:

• Superb organizational and time management skills
• Associates degree, further education is a plus
• Sage/Timberline Contractor Software experience a plus
• Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in accounting operations (A/R, Billing, A/P, etc.)
• Proficient computer skills with focus on Microsoft Office programs - Word & Excel
• Strong analytical skills and process oriented
• Able to prioritize and operate proactively
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of the construction industry, with previous experience in the industry being a great advantage.
• The ideal candidate must work well with other employees, positive attitude and be a quick learner not afraid of

change and improvement.

This is a full time Accountant position responsible for multiple company financial and balance sheets. The staff will be responsible for all accounting activities. Hard Skills:

• Sage 300/Timberline System Working Knowledge. Procore helpful but not critical.
• Controller experience for a construction - 10+ years
• Full-cycle accounting knowledge; AR, AP, Cash/Bank Reconciliations, Loan liabilities, Equity partner capital funding,

distribution and income allocations (book vs tax basis)

• Real Estate Construction accounting experience using POC % accounting based on job cost budgets and contract

billings in progress for our construction long-term construction projects.

• Tax & Audit work paper experience working with LLC and Corporations
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in accounting or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license active
• Advanced Excel Skills-All of our functional analytical tools use some or all of the following

Professional Experience:

• Proven working 10+ years of experience as Controller for a Construction or Real Estate services firm that manages AIA documents and payment applications and related contract documents and supporting documents.
• Minimum of 5 years' of experience at the management level working directly for Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in a

high-growth, restructuring environment.

• High-level, expert proficiency on MS-Excel, Power BI, MS-Office, accounting software Sage 300/Timberline with an

ability to manipulate large amounts of data. SLC Controller

• Proven knowledge of US generally accepted accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• Ability to prepare and review financial statement preparation, tax and audit workpaper and related documents.
• Excellent management and interpersonal skills. Ability to direct and supervise, manage accounting staff effective to

achieve financial goals and objectives.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
