Robert Half is looking for an ambitious Controller to join a well-respected services company. In this leadership position, you will direct an accounting and clerical department. As the Controller, you will plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assess accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff. What you get to do every single day
- Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
- Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
- Review deliverables of self and team to align with client expectations
- Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month
- Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis
- Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management
- Respond on items beyond formal job responsibilities
- Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis
- Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
- Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation
- Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required
