JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an EMT, you will be dispatched for patient transfers with our health partners and provide medical assistance to patients in our care.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with your fellow EMTs and management to assure top-tier patient care.
* Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock - your work shift schedule may vary due to the nature of the business.
* Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses, and registrations.
* Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
* Recognize and treat any medical condition with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all State and County protocols.
* Provide top-tier medical transport to medical facilities by assuming responsibilities for medical care of the patient and carrying out established policies and procedures.
* Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking the rigs and taking ownership of your space.
* Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.
* Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.
* Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.
* Must be able to lift, push and pull 125 lbs or more.

* Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
* Valid CPR Card for the Health Care Provider

An incumbent in this class typically reports to the Dean of Instruction through an Instructional Director, Department Chairperson or Program Coordinator. Principal Accountabilities
An incumbent may perform any combination of the below listed accountabilities as determined by the supervisor:
1. Plans, organizes, and instructs courses as assigned by the Department Chairperson/supervisor, utilizing effective and engaging instructional strategies, the learning management system (LMS), appropriate communication, classroom management, leadership skills, and instructional/educational technology to promote student success. Normal teaching contact hours per week are 18, unless otherwise modified by the Department Chairperson/Dean.

- Assist as directed in proper admission, transfer and discharge of residents; inventory resident possessions and report food articles and medications found in resident rooms; and, report defective equipment to administration.
- Understand and use Universal Precautions and follow established infections control, hazardous communication and other safety rules; ensure cleanliness of assigned resident's rooms; properly maintain and record resident restraints; and, promptly report all violations of safety and sanitation rules to supervisor.
- Attend and participate in orientation, training, educational activities and staff meetings.
