    Ohioans is currently looking for a full-time employee to work in our authorizations department! The Authorizations coordinator is responsible for coordinating insurance authorization for all new and existing patients with assigned insurances.

    • Obtains initial authorization for services and seeks re authorization for ongoing and additional services
    • Maintains reports
    • Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of contractual relationships and ensures patients are admitted and services are delivered in accordance with physicians orders
    • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential customers
    • Promptly responds to insurance company's requests and concerns



    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • (1) Year experience in insurance authorizations, preferably in home care, preferred
    • Complies with acceptable professional standards and practice
    • Demonstrates excellent observation, verbal, and written communications skills
    • Able to deal tactfully with patients, family members, referral sources, and payers
    • Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities
